Photographer, Writer, Creative

WELCOME — I'm so glad you've landed here! I am a mom to twins (born 2020), married to my best friend, living on a few acres near Lawrence, Kansas.

I've been a family photographer since 2016 when my grandma noticed my talent and bought me my first DSLR. I carry her knack for noticing things and making something out of them with me into my photography sessions.

I'm a life-long learner and an imperfect human learning to be OK with the many mistakes I make.

Know that if you are a person who identifies as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or other marginalized identity, I see you, I value you, and I whole-heartedly welcome working with you. I am an ally and safe space, and I am always, always open to hearing how I can do better.

what people say about my work:

Molly Olander

"They're SO good. I thought there was no way there were any cute ones captured with the chaos and you killed it. Thank you so much for these beautiful photos omg."

Lindsey Stringer

"OMG They are perfect! I think these are some of my favorites we've ever done. So happy we captured some of his favorite things"

Paige Robinson

"Oh my goodness!!! I love them!!!! Thank you SO MUCH. Ahh just so good, have to share some tomorrow. Thank you thank you."

why photography + my approach

I am an observer, which is why I was drawn to photography in the first place. The simplest and most honest way I can express the beauty I see is to reflect it through imagery.

My approach is laid back. I'll give you prompts and make sure you 'know what to do with your hands' (haha), but I want the images we create together to look natural and represent you as you are.

Finally, I welcome people of all walks of life to work with me. I believe that love is love, and I respect all lifestyles and cultural beliefs. I think our world is made richer by diversity of all kinds.
